چکیده

Ny grønlandsk strategi skal mindske verdens højeste selvmordsrate. Den nye strategi har særligt fokus på forebyggelse af selvmord blandt unge. Opvækst i familier med alkohol og seksuelle overgreb gør grønlandske unge særligt udsatte. Antallet af selvmord i Grønland er målt i forhold til indbyggertallet verdens højeste. I 2010 blev der begået 62 selvmord på Grønland – hvilket giver landet en selvmordsrate på 108 pr. 100.000 indbyggere. Det er næsten 10 gange så højt som selvmordsraten i Danmark i 2010.
